"Jack's dad wears Vuitton"

So we've had Mikhaïl Gorbatchev and Catherine Deneuve endorsing Vuitton. Now we have "Captain Jack Sparrow's dad", AKA Keith Richards, wearing the monogram.
Is there a pattern here?
