"The Craziest Ad Guys"

Why is it that America's "blue chips" and "big bucks" corporations all want now campaigns "à la Crispin Porter + Bogusky"?

It's called a trend. Huge Corporations are neither original or unique. They tend to copy each other. When several begin using one agency - the rest follow like lemmings assuming that this is what they should be doing. CPB is the flavor of the month. In five years, they will get tired of Crispin when they realize their ads look and feel like everyone else's and they will move on to something else. It's the cycle of the silly business.
