EURO RSCG gets Jaguar

According to AdWeek, Hava's group Euro RSCG won Jaguar's $100 million global account.

"The Jaguar brand has significant equity around the world," said Jim Heekin, global CEO of Euro RSCG.
"We believe we can work with the Jaguar management team to capture the imagination of its existing and potential buyers. We are ready to hit the ground running."

The stories "they" sell us...

liarsSo Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso or Hemingway used to carry a "famous" Moleskine notebook in their hands (or pockets)?

Seth Godin has a new book and a really interesting blog dedicated to the "stories" marketeres tell us about their brands and products.

As Rolf Jonsen ("Dream Society") pointed out once:
"The company with the best story wins; consumers will pay for the story that sparks the imagination, that reflects how we see ourselves and how we want others to see us."

"21 Most Influential"

icon_21_influential Who are the people who are changing the contemporary design landscape? What are the products, organisations and ideas that everyone will be copying in the immediate future?

According to the list published in March's edition of Icon Magazine, IKEA is in first place in their rankings:

"If it wasn't for Ikea, most people would have no access to affordable contemporary design. The company has done more to bring about an acceptance of domestic modernity (in the traditionally-minded UK market at least) than the rest of the design world combined."

X.ray to CP+B

The hottest agency in America (for a great majority of the people in the ad biz) is profiled in a recent article by Fast Company magazine (April edition).

Alex Bogusky (creative dir.), Jeff Hicks (president), Jeff Steinhour (clients service dir.) and Chuck Porter (chairman) talk about their "ninja philosophy", relationship with some of their clients, such as Burger King and particularly about the tremendous success of the "Subservient chicken" viral campaign.
