1. Nanotechnology will be used for everything from monitoring the health of soldiers in the battlefield to transforming waste into edible material.
2. U.S. public education will face an uphill battle for survival.

Brand provenance

This would make an interesting post about the «brand provenance» image, the real "made in" country and the perceptions the consumer has about what he thinks he's buying.

Sopranos and Google maps
According to Advertising Age, HBO is creating a map of New Jersey to remind viewers about some of the Sopranos' story lines, scenes and places. Using a Google platform as branding medium, HBO expects it to work as "a geo-visual tour of the TV series, a very interactive way to get people caught up".
